Anime@Carleton Design
While I was studying at Carleton University, I volunteered as the Creative Director for the anime club, Anime@Carleton. For 2 years, I operated the club’s social media pages and created posts to advertise club events and announcements.
Social Media Posts

The two main kinds of posts I created were for the weekly anime showings and monthly events. For the majority of these posts, I used vector graphics in Adobe Illustrator. I tried to be creative and humourous with the monthly event posts, including references and different thematic styles to make each post look unique and interesting.
For the weekly showings, I made a template to feature the different series being shown each week. It was challenging to create a new post each week while balancing school, work, and other extracurricular activities. This frame allowed me to draft posts easily and quickly by simply changing out images and text. It also allowed me to create a consistent style between posts for these recurring events.

Logo Design

Towards the end of my time as Creative Director, I tried to make a new logo for the club. The goals for this design were to more clearly represent the club and function better as a social media profile image.
The concept for this design was to use the “@” in the club’s name as the iris in an anime-styled eye. I was also loosely aiming to make the eyelashes resemble raven wings, since the school’s mascot is a raven.
